Whole systems, engineered to ship.
JDO Systems designs, builds and runs production software: web platforms, APIs, cloud infrastructure and mobile apps. One senior engineer owns your whole system, from the database schema to the App Store listing.
01End to end
Database to App Store, with one accountable engineer.
02Zero static secrets
Managed identity and OIDC instead of passwords in config.
03Everything as code
Every environment rebuilt from Terraform and pipelines.
04Observable by default
Tracing from the browser to the database, from day one.
01Capabilities
Every layer of the stack, under one roof.
Projects stall at the seams: between the front end and the API, the API and the cloud, the code and the pipeline. JDO works across all of them, so nothing falls between teams.

APIs & data
.NET and Node APIs with clear contracts, relational schemas that age well, and Python pipelines that move data on schedule without a babysitter.

Modernization
Legacy PHP and MySQL moved to a modern stack without a big-bang cutover: versioned migrations, rehearsed against real data, with customers carried across.

This is the shape of most things JDO builds: ten layers, one owner. Open any layer to see what's delivered there.Select a layer to see what's delivered there, or trace a request from a user's tap to the database and back.

Every system starts with the people using it. JDO builds the clients they actually touch: responsive web apps plus native and cross-platform mobile apps that share one API and one sign-in.
What JDO delivers
- Responsive, accessible web interfaces
- Native iOS apps in Swift and cross-platform iOS/Android apps
- One account and session across web and mobile
- App Store and Google Play releases, handled end to end
SwiftiOSAndroidReactAccessibility02Edge / CDNTLS · cache · WAF
The first hop. Static assets come from a global edge cache, TLS terminates close to the user, and abusive traffic is filtered before it ever reaches your app.
What JDO delivers
- Caching strategy per route, with sensible invalidation
- DNS, certificates and redirects managed as code
- Firewall, bot and rate-limit rules
- Spam protection on public forms
CloudflareAzure Front DoorDNSTLS03Web appNext.js · React
Portals, dashboards and marketing sites in Next.js and React. Server-rendered for speed and SEO, typed end to end, and built on a design system so the fiftieth screen is as polished as the first.
What JDO delivers
- Customer, staff and admin portals
- Marketing sites with a visual rich-text editor
- Payments and subscriptions, plus transactional email
- Technical SEO and Core Web Vitals as requirements
Next.jsReactTypeScriptTailwind CSSPayPal04IdentityEntra ID · OIDC
Who is calling, and what they're allowed to do. People sign in with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect; services prove who they are with managed identity. No passwords in config, so nothing to leak.
What JDO delivers
- Entra ID app registrations and OIDC sign-in
- Managed and workload identity between services
- Least-privilege role assignments on every resource
- Zero static credentials as the default, not the goal
Entra IDOAuth 2.0OIDCManaged identityRBAC05API.NET · REST
The contract every client depends on. Lean .NET minimal APIs, or Node where it fits, with validation, versioning and tracing built in, so web and mobile ship features against one source of truth.
What JDO delivers
- REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts and versioning
- Token validation and role-based authorization
- Slow work handed off to queues and background jobs
- OpenTelemetry on every request and dependency call
.NETC#Node.jsOpenAPIOpenTelemetry06DataSQL · migrations
Schemas designed to outlive version one. Relational data modelled for the real query patterns, changed only through versioned migrations, and reached through identity rather than a password in a connection string.
What JDO delivers
- Data models and indexes shaped by real queries
- Versioned, repeatable migrations, including off legacy MySQL
- Backups, restore drills and seeded environments
- Passwordless database access with Entra authentication
Azure SQLPostgreSQLMySQLMigrations07StorageBlob · files
Documents, media and raw data files live in object storage, organized so they're cheap to keep, easy to find and private by default.
What JDO delivers
- Containers with lifecycle and retention rules
- Private access through identity or short-lived links
- Landing zones for ingested data, partitioned by source and date
- Direct client uploads that never pass through the API
Azure Blob StorageLifecycle rulesPrivate endpoints08Jobs / QueuePython · workers
Anything slow, scheduled or retryable runs off the request path. Python and .NET workers pick up queued messages and scheduled runs, so nobody waits on a batch job.
What JDO delivers
- Scheduled container jobs, such as FTP-to-cloud ingestion
- Queue-backed workers with retries and dead-lettering
- Idempotent processing, so re-runs are always safe
- Versioned images with one-step rollback
PythonService BusContainer jobsDocker09ObservabilityOpenTelemetry · App Insights · alerts
If you can't see it, it isn't production-ready. Every service emits traces, metrics and structured logs to one place, so a slow page can be followed from the browser down to the exact query.
What JDO delivers
- Distributed tracing across web, API, jobs and dependencies
- Dashboards for latency, errors and throughput
- Alerts that point at a cause, not noise
- No secrets or personal data in logs

Every environment, from an empty subscription to production, is defined in Terraform and deployed by pipeline. Each build produces one image; environments differ only in configuration applied at deploy time.
What JDO delivers
- Terraform stacks for bootstrap, shared, dev and prod
- Templated CI/CD with plan, approval and apply gates
- One environment-agnostic image promoted through every stage
- Hardened Kubernetes (AKS) workloads: non-root, least privilege

04Approach
Discover. Design. Build. Operate.
A short, predictable loop. You see working software early, and you always know what happens next.
Step 01
Discover
We start with the problem, not the stack: goals, users, constraints and whatever already exists.
You get
A written scope, the main risks, and a first milestone you can hold me to.
Step 02
Design
Architecture, data model and environments are settled while change is still cheap. Trade-offs get written down, not discovered later.
You get
An architecture diagram, a data model and a delivery plan.
Step 03
Build
Short iterations, deployed to a real environment from the first week. You see working software, not status reports.
You get
Deployable increments in your repo and your cloud account.
Step 04
Operate
Dashboards, alerts and runbooks go in before launch, not after the first incident. Then ongoing support, or a clean handover.
You get
A system your team can run, with the docs to prove it.
You own everything from day one: the repository, the cloud subscription and every credential. No lock-in, no hostage code.

05Founder
Work directly with the engineer who builds it.
I'm Jordan Prada, founder and principal engineer of JDO Systems. I design and build complete software systems, and I stay accountable for them after launch.
My work covers the whole stack: product UIs in Next.js and React; .NET and Python services; relational data models with versioned migrations off legacy platforms; Azure environments built from an empty subscription in Terraform; containerized workloads on Kubernetes; and native iOS and cross-platform apps shipped to both app stores.
I've moved a years-old PHP platform, with its customers, data and subscription billing, onto a modern web and mobile stack without a big-bang cutover. I've replaced passwords in config with managed identity across whole platforms. I've turned hand-run data chores into pipelines that raise an alert when a file is late.
I've delivered in two very different settings. In security-conscious enterprise environments, nothing ships without identity, distributed tracing, templated pipelines and an audit trail. On small product teams, the runway is the deadline and every week has to show working software. JDO Systems brings the first kind of rigour at the second kind of speed.
When you hire JDO Systems, you work with me. The person who scopes your system also writes the Terraform, the API and the UI, and picks up when something breaks. No account managers, and no hand-off to a junior bench.
01
Boring technology, sharp execution.
Proven tools, used well, beat clever ones used once.
02
Infrastructure is code.
Reviewed, versioned and reproducible, like everything else.
03
Docs are part of the deliverable.
Your team should be able to run it without me.
